so i opened up the hood today to track down a leak in the windshield washer hoses (which i found, hose fell off again due to increased pressure from blocking the wiper washers), anyway, i looked down and saw the outer portion of the AC compressor (seiko) clutch sitting on the frame of the car down below the compressor.
it has splines on the inside of it and looks like i could shove it back on, but what made it come off? AND, what do i do now.
My AC hasn't been working lately and I've been wondering why, never got a burning smell or crazy noises, belt looks ok, judging from the way the engine responds when I kick on the AC, the compressor is still spinning, just without that clutch being fully operational.
Is this repairable, or is it time for a new compressor, OR???
THanks! (P.S. I'm in Miami, so I still need AC sometimes)
