So my (actually my girlfriend's) 1992 Griffin just bit the dust. I wish I could say that she's worth saving, but it seems like so much work just to source a new engine, let alone swap it in. And let's not even touch a rebuild. Though, I'm not opposed... just the gf, and she needs a new car... so please convince me if you can. This car has been maintained pretty well and as far as looks are concerned (including rust) needs very little. Blown engine though. Has me wondering if I should convince my girl to keep her to let me play around. The alternative is parting it out and then hauling the rest to a scrapper.
I'm just torn because this car is one of 400 ever made. My mind is reeling over why the turn of events have made it happen for me like this. Not to mention the fact that she hates Saab now and will never own another one. She thinks they're expensive and ridiculous to maintain. Bah.
Sorry to complain here... just wondering if maybe I can get some ideas about what to do. Anyone want to pay a reasonable price for a Griffin with a blown engine? Otherwise I'll have parts for sale as soon as winter's over.
