I agree with Burt that JBWeld is worth a try. I had an ovalized output shaft bearing seat on the transmission of my 89s because they hadn't changed the intermediate carrier bearing mount on an auto manual swap. I set the new bearing in JBWeld in my unheated shop in March. I put a test patch on the outside of the transmission case and poked at it for two weeks until it felt like it was cured, filled it with oil and it was still holding 60k miles later when I took the car off the road at 256k for terminal rust issues.
