I found a good post about it here, with a link:
http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/9000/index.html?bID=259029

The site says:
'Cat Back Exh for 9000 CS, CSE AERO $414.00
9000 Sports Exhaust 2.5", Rounded oval tip.
Contains center muffler and new rear muffler.
Stainless and Chrome Steel construction.
May be special order.
9000 CS chassis 93-98 Including CSE and Aero Models'

Question:
The pic shows a black muffler w/ a chrome(?) tip and so I wonder if
that muffler is totally SS or not ?
(Image link included is to their image from their site.)

Spending quite that much on exhaust is the most I'd spend considering
how much abuse an exhaust system sees on the bumpy dirt roads where I
live - and would be a first because I've found other really good ways
to keep a tight exhaust on my 9KTs over the years, such as:
-Removing the resonator and replacing with adaptors and a plain pipe
-Replacing the expensive/weak OEM flex pipe when it fails with a good
universal/aftermarket unit which just clamps right in.
-Using stronger, less flexible mounts (again - may be needed because
of the rough roads hereabouts...).
-Replacing stock bolts/nuts/washers with SS to ease future repairs.

Living in winterry parts of New England all my life has taught me that
above all exhaust repairs can never quite be strong enough to last as
long as places without the harsh climate and salt exposure; so it has
been smarter IMO to spend carefully as needed than to go with really
super-duper stuff usually.

I would appreciate any cost/quality info anyone could add in here that
compares favorably with the BSR system - and though I'd love to have
the $ to spend on a really super exhaust, more than about $400 just
ain't gonna happen for me anytime soon !

Best Wishes,

mark
