Once you get this car running, I think you'll fall in love with it quickly. The '91 and '92 9kt's handle great and have lots of power. I had an '87 900S prior to this, which was fun to drive, but when I got my '91 9kt about 9 yrs ago, there was no looking back.
I've always used the Haynes manual successfully for this car but haven't had to troubleshoot a problem like yours. Successfully did a cyl head job that way, plus using Quasi's site (http://www.quasimotors.com). I agree it's better for the earlier, non-DI models. Did the car run for you prior to your cylinder head work? How do you know there's no spark? I'm assuming you hooked up the DI cassette to four spark plugs, grounded them and cranked? Sounds like your CPS is giving you a signal, so it's probably not that. Could your DI cassette have a bad connection, or maybe the fuel injection system relay is bad? Maybe the DI cassette ground connection (near the thermostat) was missed upon reassembly. Quasimotors has a good critical systems troubleshooting page that I'd recommend as a next step. You might figure out which pin is the ground and see if it is actually grounded, then see if you are getting power to the DI cassette from the fuel injection system relay.
Good luck and hopefully you'll be enjoying that car soon.
