gman,if your car is a auto box/place it in park w/hbrake on.stick in "n" h/b on.find the yellow wire on starter sol.use a "jumper wire"long enough to reach from the starter to the "pos"terminal on the battery.clip one end of the jumper to the connector-where the yellow wire was-w/the key in the "on position"- - now touch the other end of the jumper wire to the [+]positive battery terminal.if it starts this means starter is good.and the battery has enough "juice".if not then you will have to look at the neutral safety switches.these are under the plate that covers the bottom of the shift lever.[auto box]which i'm guessing youv'e got.iv'e seen the copper contacts burn through.burt.
