Sounds like the limp home cable is to blame

Under normal conditions there isn't a mechanical linkage between the throttle pedal and throttle body. But there is a cable linkage that's there to run things if (if?? when!!) you are ever in limp home mode.
You might eyeball the situation in the engine bay and see if you can spot anything interfering with this cable, and/or look around (if you can twist yourself into the requisite pretzel shape) under the dash to see what you can spot. To see if it's your problem, you might try disconnecting the cable at the throttle body (easy) or the pedal (tricky).
It's always possible that the cable is corroded and the interference is inside the cable sheath, in which case probably disconnecting it from the pedal is the only way to confirm it. If that's your problem then replacing the cable is the only fix, or you can leave it disconnected and make regular visits and donations at your local church in hopes the TCS gods never trip LHM on you.
I don't recall seeing any past posts about replacing this cable, although just about anything's been done before I would think. Let's just say it would be unusual. And I don't know if anyone sells this part, or what it would take to snake a replacement in there. Hopefully you'll see something near the TB that's catching/rubbing on it, and easily be able to remedy it.
Or it could be something totally different. It's TCS after all.
