Hey all, couple of things I found when my '91 wouldn't start after an oil change (in my driveway).
Went through Ari's checklist (I know it's for a '94-up, that's where some of the differences are).
The Main relay check...Ari's check shows the test light going OUT after 6 seconds or so. Mine never went out. Early car (jetronic) thing or something else? That led to my question about the CPS check. Since the light never went out, and I cranked it, the light stayed on. Good CPS or not??
Anyway, I FINALLY found a post about CPS with the older LH systems and it had you test voltage at the test port on the fender. I had no voltage so now CPS is suspect. Thankfully a '91 in the junkyard had one so put it in and VOILA!! Started right up!
Another thing...my Tach "bounces" during cranking where it did NOTHING with the bad CPS for what it's worth for discussion!
Jeff.
