Radiator Flush - not too fast!

This pertains the heater core post I just submitted. I recently had my coolant system flushed. Before the flush the heat worked fine, after - it barely worked. Here's what I think happened.
I just removed the core and found it to be mostly clogged and the plastic wall internal to the core separating the inlet from the outlet was broken allowing coolant to flow in and right back out without actually passing through the core.
I suspect that surge of high pressure brought on by the radiator flush broke it. As it pushed all the gunk out through the system it probably got caught in the narrow pipes of the heater core. If the core didn't break immediately then I suspect it broke as the passage was further restricted.
The core needed to be replaced, but it could have made it through the winter much better than it did.
Don't flush too hard! ;)
