Not sure it's the same on yours as on my '96, but I had high beam not working on one side, and the bulb was fine.
So I wiggled the master connection to the headlamp unit and it came on for a bit.
Then I managed to un-plug that multi-plug, and re-plugged it, several times, and all has been well since.
What I'm saying is, maybe BOTH of yours have this problem. I'm in a winter climate so corrosion is a real problem here.
It's one of those connectors with the red sliding cam-locking latch. You have to pry that out a little ways, at one end, while at same time tugging the connection apart. Fine road dust works its way deep into those, and they refuse to pop apart easily. You need to really work to get it apart if it's been a while. Also, need to clear that dust out of it before re-plugging.
There was absolutely no room to get at it and unplug it, not enough slack.
So I had to take out the grille (very easy, just a few connectors) and pull the side marker light (on my year at least, easy, a stainless-steel-wire spring bail hooks onto lip of sheet metal in behind, then unit pulls out. You can let it hang. Then to get headlight out there are two torx screws down from above on edge of radiator support tin, and two 10mm-head bolts, one in from each side, into the headlight unit itself. (One hidden by grille, one hidden by side marker light.) Then it comes out the front and you should have the slack to unplug and re-plug it.
I think I grabbed the red latch lightly at the end with an opened-out pair of vise grips (Think bird dog holding a duck - - easy does it) while pulling out to side, and also pulling connector apart.
Mine's been fine for months since this fix.
