Fiddled with the '92 9000 again today after putting new lights in my '72 K-20 GM pickup. Anyhow, checked the fuses and grounds, all fuses were good, and I cleaned/reassembled the grounds for the fuel injection on the intake. Tried to start it, and like before, it wanted to start, but didn't. It is getting fuel, because the plugs are slightly damp, but I couldn't listen to the injectors as nobody was home to crank while I listened. Even gave it a small wiff of either just to see if it would run for a wee bit, still tried, but wouldn't go. BUT, I did notice fuel dripping from a joint in the return line that interested me. Took it apart and found I couldn't blow through it? I did put a new fuel pump in it and maybe pinched the return line when we put the tank back up in. I put a hose from the rail into a container for now to try to run the engine, but still same thing happens. I was wondering though if a small amount of pressure is needed on that return for the EFI to function correctly and maybe that is why my engine won't run?????? I know it doesn't matter on other EFI systems I played with(Put one on my inline 6 in my '72 for example) but since saabs are different I got to wondering about it. Does anyone have any ideas for me to try? I checked the compression while I had the plugs out, all read 150 psi. I tripple checked the timing as well, with the flywheel at 0, all my markings were inline too. I am sorta stumped and it annoys me. Really could use this car, and we don't have a saab dealer here locally any more, and all the independent garages would be in the same boat I am, so I am pretty much on my own, with your guys' help.
Thanks
Tyler
