You can see a lot better if you install 9005 high beam lamps in the low beam positions. This mod requires removing a couple of plastic notches on the new lamps (easily done with a box cutter) and adding the O-rings from your existing 9006 lamps to the 9005 lamps.
Your stock low beams put out about 1000 lumens.
Manufacturer data for output and lifespan at 13.2v for all Sylvania bulbs:
Sylvania CoolBlue or Sylvania Silver Star: 1380 lumens, 250 hours
Sylvania Long Life: 1460 lumens, 1200 hours
Sylvania Standard Halogen: 1550 lumens, 650 hours
Sylvania Xtravision: 1700 lumens, 350 hours
Notice above that the more expensive Silver Stars produce less lumens, and die faster than Sylvania's cheaper lamps. Which may explain why the auto parts stores like them.
I installed Xtravision 9005s in July. I can see better in all weather conditions, and approaching traffic is not annoyed by my low beams. The light color is still yellow (3200K), which is very effective even if it isn't fashionable.
You have to decide whether you want to see better or make your Aero look better. Seeing better is easily and cheaply done.
