as I have 'fixed' the AC bounce on both the '97 Aero and the CSE with these two things. I think the AIC is very dependent on the vacuum lines being connected and leak-free. Both of these cars are now steady, although I think the DI system and the extra .3 litres helps quite a bit compared to the earlier engines.
The cleaning of the AIC valve was at least semi-annual on my '87 9kT, and the AC bounce was still annoying at traffic lights.
