Spacers reduce the offset, not increase it. If you use 10mm spacers, you will end up with an effective offset of 7mm.
The stock wheel is 165mm wide, with a 27mm offset. That means 55mm of the wheel is outside of the hub, and 110mm is inside (towards the car). The 7" wheels are 178mm wide with a 17mm offset, which means 72mm on the outside, 106mm inside. So the wheels will stick out 4mm further on the inside, and 17mm further on the outside. That will be a pretty wide stance, but you can probably get away with it. But most importantly, spacers of any size will make the situation worse.
