With having work being done to the axle boot, I would check the sensor on the side the boot was done. For safety damage reasons, the sensor is supposed to be removed from the mount before working on the axles. It could have been nicked or the sensor ring misaligned. On my 91/900s, I dropped the sensor spacer washer down into the electric sensor mounting hole and the washer chewed-up the sensor ring, causing the ABS to pump the brake a few second before completly stopping. This caused the assumed stopping distance to increase before completly stopping. It was easy to not see the small spacer washer drop into the hole. I had to fish the washer back out and file the sensor ring groove for the senor to work properly again. Hopefully, it's something simple on your car. Get it fix before an accident happens.
