1. Drain coolant by pulling the bottom radiator hose on the passenger side of the radiator.
2. Located the thermo switch connector below the oil cooler and separate it. My experience has been it is best to remove the passenger side headlight to expose the connector. It is quite easy to remove the headlight. Remove the side marker first by unclip the spring clip. Then remove two torx screws and two 10 mm bolt head m6 bolts to remove the head light.
3. Remove the thermo switch and replace it. Use a 12" adjustable spanner.
4. Unbolt the thermostat housing using a 13 mm socket and wrench. Or was it 12 mm I forgot. Space is tight you can only access one bolt with a 1/4" drive rachet. The second bolt you need a wrench. The vent hole should be on top.

It will take you about an hour.
