OK, "fuse in, power to fuel pump" - that tells me that the FI is driving the fuel pump - it senses the engine turning over and supplies fuel. Since the car is just trying to start, it isn't hitting the overboost fuel cut-off.

So this is what I assume-
You could go out to the car now and get all of these things -
You crank the engine and get power at the fuel pump fuse.
You have good fuel pressure. If this was a few hours since the car shut down, then the fuel pump is running AND pumping fuel.
You could pull a spark plug and it would be dry (earlier you mentioned fuel pouring out of the intake manifold).

Step 1 - take out the DI, and flip it over. Put four spare spark plugs into the boots, and ground EACH of the spark plugs to a good ground, like the engine. Pull out the fuel pump so it doesn't run. Crank the engine and see if the plugs spark. If they don't, the suspect the DI, the DI controller, the crank position sensor. But if the fuel pump is running (power to the fuel pump), then the CPS is OK.

It's pretty straightforward - spark, fuel, air, compression. If you've got spark AND you've got fuel pressure at the fuel rail, pull off the intake hose to check for blockages. Do a quick compression test on one cylinder. Why? Just assume the timing chain broke - a compression test would show that, and it's faster and easier than pulling the cam cover.

I'm a big confused by the fuel. You've got fuel at the rail, the plugs were dry, but there was fuel spilling from the intake manifold. That doesn't hold together. Now, if that happened a while (in time apart), maybe. But the only way I can come up with dry spark plugs and a wet manifold at the same time is a broken timing chain. Let's hope I've got the time sequence here wrong.

But start at the beginning. The car has obviously been sitting a while - that's good. Check the DI spark. Check for voltage at the fuel pump fuse when cranking. Jumper the fuel pump fuse to fuse 22 (flashers), engine off, and listen for the fuel pump running. If you can recheck the fuel pressure, do so. Crank the engine a few times, and pull a spark plug. Wet? Do a quick compression test on that cylinder. Reasonable pressure?. Check the intake hose for a blockage. Disconnect the AMM at the air filter side - so the AMM is still connected to the engine, and see if it will start. If so, see if the air filter collapsed.
