Did a motor swap on my 96 9k, and while the tranny was out it started leaking on the driver side differential output seal. Been living with it, but now I've noticed that the cv boot that I replaced as preventive measure when doing the motor is split completely in half. While in there, I'd like to do the tranny seal. The cheesy haynes (chilton?) manual says that the seal has to be pressed in (by a dealer, of course), but the guy at eeuroparts says people do them right in the car with a seal puller. Any info on this? I searched the bb for this but found nothing. Thanks in advance!
