New to me 96 cse auto 205k. I replaced the poly upper with a stock febi because the vibration at idle was a little too much. The thing that bothers me is that I had to lever the top of the engine back towards the aquarium considerably to get everything lined up. This results in a lot of tension in the mount at rest. Is this normal? I don't recall this being a problem with my 88 and 89. I'm going to look at the lower mounts today.
BTW I installed the bushing in place without "the tool" using a long bolt, a couple of drilled plates, and old bearing races as spacers. I was surprised how much force it took. I'd warmed up the arm and put the bushing in a snowbank, but the grade 5 bolt failed after a bit and I had to finish up with a head bolt.
