Sounds like a good buy, and good 9000s are getting harder to find. I think you should bear that head gasket in mind, as they typically seem to last a bit over 100k miles. The hoses too, as you say, ie. all the coolant hoses plus all the silicone hoses associated with the turbo, because the coolant hoses break down internally and the turbo (and FPR) hoses get brittle inside the hot engine compartment.
The direct ignition (DI) unit (the red cassette you get instead of a distributor) is another failure point and if you don't know its history you might like to buy a spare to keep in the back, since they can either fail slowly or go just like that, between parking and trying to re-start the car.
I'm sure you already know that the 1998 manuals came with the 225bhp Aero engine with TD04 turbo and Aero software, a nice bonus. You can check that out via the VIN calculator on this site.
The 9000 is one of the best cars ever designed and made. Nothing that age and mileage is likely to be issue-free but you already knew that!
