and expected that'd be what I'd have to pay. So $180 was a great deal.
Knowing how hard it is to get glass out in one piece I only thought about used glass for about 5 seconds. Plus, a used windshield will still have pits in it, and will continue to accumulate them, so if you're keeping the car a few years you'll still get to do it over again.
My '96 had about 148K on it when I did the glass and I figure I'll have it for another 4-5 years, so new glass made a lot of sense. I've put about 11K on it since having it done and it's really been worth the money. The difference is really amazing! In it's own way, it's as nice as putting the Aero suspension on last year. IMHO, it's usually worth doing the job right on a car you're gonna keep.
