Apparently there have been some problems with the current batch of genuine Saab slave cylinders. I had a 6 month old slave fail completely, then a brand new one installed, plus a new MC and clutch hose. After the replacement the clutch would feel perfect when the engine/hydraulic system was cold, but ~ 30 mins into a drive the pedal would be stiff and slow to rise. When cooled down, the clutch feels fine again.
It's now a couple of weeks later and the symptoms are fortunately almost gone and still getting better.
My indy talked with his parts supplier who said this has been a problem for a year or so and if you can live with it the symptoms disappear again. Supposedly the cause is the grease the slavecylinders come with, so the parts supplier here has started to clean everyone of them before resale.
