I've replaced the fan on two different cars. On the first one I took off the top cross member. Don't do that. There are some bolts down low that are almost impossible to get out and ever harder to get back in. Plus the headlights and markers have to come out.
On the second car, I removed the radiator and intercooler, which really didn't take that long. Then I took out the mounting attachments on the condenser and pushed the left (driver's side) end of the condenser towards the firewall until I could get the fan out on that side. I didn't loose any freon because there are no A/C pipes on the left side.
