Since I came to 9Ks from a C900, I found the headroom a little tight when I first got my '96 CSE but now I don't even think about it. I've only been in Aero seats once, in PeterH's car, but I didn't notice the headroom being any different.
It seems part of this is your body type. I'm 6'2", 205 pounds. I have a 34" inseam so I'm fairly evenly proportioned. Someone who's my height but has a long torso would probably have headroom problems in a 9K. For example, a friend who is 6'4" fit OK in his 9K CS but had to find one without a sunroof, as the roof takes out a couple inches of headroom.
All that said, I'm doing a track day this weekend and it is a tighter fit when wearing a helmet.
