Oil Pump O-Ring and Oil Pan

I saw someone talk about checking the oil pump o-ring if I'm experiencing an oil leak, but I need someone to point me in the right direction to that thing.
Also, how tough is it to drop the oil pan? Does someone have some instructions for this job? I figure I'd have to drop the downpipe, but how difficult of a job is this? I've done it on a 9-5 in about 3 hours, but I'm not sure how different the 2 models are.
