Tom,
The kickdown cable is replaced by;
1. Remove the trans top cover, (four bolts).
2. Remove the valve body, (check previous posts for which bolts to remove. Remove the wrong ones and OOPS...)
3. Disconnect the cable end from inside of the case.
4. Use a 10mm socket to compress the four plastic tangs inside and withdraw it from the case. One of them may have broken, resulting in a poor seal and subsequent leak.
5. The other end is attached to the throttle.
You might try cleaning the leaking end then apply a sealer to the affected area before replacing the cable.
