I can't say if they did or not. When I got the car home I loosened the nut a couple of flats and retorqued it using the legnth/weight method. My wrench only goes to 150 ft-lbs. I don't believe it was in a markedly different position. They may have overtorqued it, though. I do check them when I'm doing brakes or changing tires. I don't think they used a new nut. I've not had a problem with the nuts coming loose since they're locknuts. I have had problems with the threads getting damaged which would lead to undertorqueing.
