The cartridge is a T25 Posted by Gene N [Email] (#1094) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Gene N) on Thu, 8 Oct 2009 12:17:10 In Reply to: Trying to figure out which turbo I have, GlennT, Thu, 8 Oct 2009 11:12:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I also have a 1990 9000T, with the 2.0L engine. The center section on your turbo is a standard, water cooled T25. The exhaust bell is different from the T25 on the 2.3L engine, and the pipes attach differently. As an example, the oil feed is a flared tube fitting on the 2.0L, while the 2.3L uses a banjo bolt. The guts (center section) are the same between the two, and a standard T25 rebuild kit will be the same.
If you buy a new or rebuilt center section, you will have to move over the adapters from your old turbo.
