steel wheels on 92-9kT for winter ? Posted by bstan9k [Email] ![]() ![]() |
OK, I just test-fit the Saab 15in steel wheels (5.5J x15) on the front of my 5-speed 92-9kT (from the factory with an Aero suspension).
Man-oh-man do those fit snuggley around the front brake calipers. I spun them in both directions to ensure there was no interference. Therefore I would expect no problems on the rear wheels either (but I didn't test fit there). Will these wheels use the same Lug bolts or should I buy another set from Tire-rack (where I will likely get my tires).
My 9k came factory shod with 206/50-16 tires on 3 spoke Aero wheels.
I live in Northern Indiana, so it doesn't snow here like in New England or Minnestoa/Wisconson, but ice and packed snow surfaces are prevalent. I'm thinking about installing the following size tires on those 15in rims: 185/65-15 with an 88Q load rating.
Anyone put those 15" size steel rims on a 93-98 9k Aero ?
