Just finished 'patching' an Aero that had similar issues. The master was replaced with an oem unit in March by a local Saab indie. The Dolt forgot to fully tighten the output line fitting.. consequently it leaked a bit (a few drops a week). As the Brake fluid reservoir has only a tiny portion /capacity allocated for the clutch master.. And that the ABS pressure accumulator, which is approaching needed replacement, is dropping the Reservoir significantly as it pressurises itself.. the clutch reservoir simply ran out of fluid.
Long explanation, but a really easy fix (for this one) simply adding More Brake fluid (almost to the top of the Reservoir) after pumping the brake pedal 25 times (engine off) to dump the stored Accumulator volume back into the reservoir and tightening the pressure fitting on the master 'did the trick' Oddly, re-bleeding proved unecessary. Pumping the clutch pedal smootly and repeatedly. Pulling it up, by hand at first, made it work again. G'luck
