You .will. need the head resurfaced. Can't just slap the overheated head back on and expect a long lived seal, not a big deal, but adds a few $hundred to the surprisingly low cost of a Head Gasket set.
Blow-by is another matter entirely, being the sign of worn rings and piston lands. ( Oil spewing 'might'?? be the turbo seal ?.. best hope so :-) Which leads one into a fresh set of pistons with the mandatory rebore and Main and Rod bearings. Might as well do the Chains and whatever sprockets are worn along with Pump and seals /gaskets in short a decent rebuild. IF mine, I would be perusing the ads for a Donor engine... wayyy cheaper .
Sadly Aeros take a real S*** kicking and suffer seriously at the hands of myriad owners who either abuse the pore things and Gawd Forbid) "mod" them, armed with genuine enthusiasm and Very little else.
