My guess is a little less dire than that of the other posters. Try cleaning the cabin air tempreature sensor. It's behind the little grill under the seat warmer switches. You can carefully pry off the grill and clean the thermoresistor underneath with compressed air or a clean cloth.
It also wouldn't hurt to run a calibration by pressing Auto and Vent at the same time.
Unless your engine temp gauage is quite lower, it's probably related to the ACC system rather than coolant temp. You can always go to Hi or Low to force hot or cold air when this happens to check.
