I recently replaced the master and the clutch hose (last spring?). I replaced both since I didn't inspect the hose and that's what ended up being the problem. I just replaced both with known good (new OEM) units.
It turns out it was the hose that was leaking, but I replaced both. Long story short, I have an OEM master from my '93 Aero. (I don't know if it's original, I'd have to check the car's records on that.) I know the master good, but you could do the rebuild on it for piece of mind. Let me know if you're interested. (I'm in CA, and you can have it for a few bucks plus the cost of shipping it.)
On a side note, I replaced it with the FTE part on eeuroparts. The FTE part has the original SAAB stamped into the side, even though they have gone through some trouble to grind the stamping away, so you can't see all of the "SAAB" text. I can't speak for the Scantech part, but I haven't heard good things.
