Not sure about the Durlast. No experience with it. Need more information to know if it's the bearing or not. Maybe someone else will chime in. When mine went bad I got the noise in right turns, increasing with speed.
Replacing is pretty straight forward.
Remove axle nut(should be replaced, but as long as it torques right(212 ft lbs, I think) most ppl have said it is ok to re-use).
Remove wheel.
Remove 2 bolts that connect strut to hub.
Remove caliper(make sure to have a hanger or bungee cord handy to hang the caliper from the spring so as not to put stress on the brake lines.
Remove brake disc and dust shield.
Remove 4 bolts on back of hub the hold the bearing in(mine were bolts but other ppl have said they have had big torx, so you might need a set of those).
Pull out old bearing.
Clean everything.
Install new bearing.
Reinstall everything else.
No need to remove tie rod ends or ball joints as some ppl have said.
Not a hard task.
