Would like to get collector car insurance on my '97 9K Aero since it is stored for 6-7 months of the year and not driven more than 3-4000 miles each year. Haggerty seems interested if I value it at $15,000.00 with zero deductibles for $413.00/yr. I haven't totaled it up yet but I am sure I have at least that much probably more, invested in the car. Currently it is insured with Progressive along with our other 4 veichles. We take everything except comprehensive off in the winter also on the wife's '99 9-3 CV. My concern is that if anything should happen to the Aero, I'd probably only be able to collect ave. book value from the current insurer.
Does anyone out there have any thoughts, ideas or experience on this?
P.S. after driving only the '09 Subaru Imprezza since mid October, I can hardly wait till mid April to get back in the Aero. I'm sure I will appreciate it even more than when the daily driver was a '97 CSE. LOL
