Maybe 250 Onna good day!! running 94 octane. Do You have any Idea what it actually takes to get to 300 ..Genuine.. HP (as opposed to what numbers some on these boards Claim ? ) Jak Stoll was on about this a few years back. It takes pretty well ALL the mods currently available and even then breaking the 300 mark is iffy. (his reported testings, Not mine) I've been fooling with motors for over 40 years and even I've learned that Adding Horsepower is MUCH easier to say than to actually do.
Lotsa noise about this, but Very Little substance to most claims.
Even with the boost hitting 20 psi (250 hp Maybe) the crown on the road presents a problem, as in when boost 'hits' the tires seriously spin (P Zeros might help some but C'mon, those are worth more than my Pore Car) causing the pesky car to fall off the crown/curvature of the road.
Just like my old Cooper S did back in '71. Entertaining, but Not much Fun in real life traffic in a large car and Honestly unnerving in the damp, let alone rain. No torque steer issues though.
As result I rarely fill up with the few consequetive (sp?) tankfuls of 94 it requires to get the thing to consistently boost high.
It ain't just the petrol price. The power is ahem .. useless.. in my hands.
Mine is a nice Comfy Sofa of a car with ..Good Go.. in case I ever needed it (unlikely :-). No racer delusions left.
