Disagree :-)
MY 97 CSE Auto pulls harder than Son's Aero.. According to the Boy who drives both (to my Chagrin)
Albeit Not the 0-30 stop light Gran Prix foolishness, as the auto is boost limited in 1st.. for obvious reason. Quick launches are THE killer of ANY saab.. Consider that as advise :-)
Also one does need to be careful with the Auto box.. Never.. allowing foot to the floor shifts. Sure it reduces shift speed, however the 5 spd isn't exactly a fast shifting box either.
But once going, mine will genuinely outpull the kid's Aero to the End.
Axle ratio? Better engine setup? Likely answers, don't care though.
The story about the 'smaller' turbo running out of boost is clearly inaccurate in my direct experience. Mine (my first 'small turbo' 9k) exhibits No such tendencies.. although in fairness I have fooled with it's boosting levels. I'm thinking if there is credence to the story it may be an oem setup issue not a CFM one.
Quick enough for this pore old Car, and about as much as I'm willing to run a 13 year old to.
