For my 1994 CS Turbo (full pressure turbo), I paid $450 plus $150 for a pallet and shipping (ouch!) for a trans from a 1995 CS car, bought from a "recycler" in Massachusetts that advertises in the classifieds, shipped to Chicago. The seller allegedly verified its proper operation by driving the car before it was dismantled - since it works properly, I have to believe his story.
The information in the linked chart should open up the range of possibilities for you. Note that the 1994 - 1998 CS, CSE and Aeros all have basically the same transmission, but the 1995+ CS cars (low pressure turbo) have a smaller left side inner driver than the other cars. This can be overcome by swapping the output flange and driver from your old transmission to a new one (about six bolts, done on my car), be sure to use a new rubber seal. Also, the late 1994+ cars have a newer style shift coupler, but you can easily replace it with the older style coupler since it's held on to the selector shaft by a band clamp (also done on my car).
