I put my '93 Aero down in April '06 because of this...actually, the head gasket blew, and at the time I was not mechanically inclined enough to DIY it, so I decided to inspect the car thoroughly to see if it was worth it to pay a mechanic to do the HG job. I found rust on both rear shock towers and put the car away, thinking I'd slowly part it out or find another '93 CS/CSE to transplant the Aero bits into.
None of that ever happened, and now, I have a couple of buddies who are both great welders, and I felt ready to take on a HG job!
Been driving the Aero around all week and am absolutely back in love! What a great car when everything is working! Quiet, comfy, fast, looks great in black with the original Aero wheels, and the best fuel mileage of any vehicle I've owned...
