Rear brake seizes with caliper pins fully fastened

I just replaced the rear brake rotors and pads on my '92 9000S. The old brakes were pretty decrepit and I had to file and sand the calipers and caliper holders, although the slider pins and bushings are in good shape and cleaned up nicely.
The right side is giving me trouble that I don't know how to handle. If I screw the slider pins all the way in then the rotor won't move, but by only screwing it in about half to two thirds of the way the rotor moves ok. I went for a short test drive and the brakes seem to work fine, with no pulling, and the rears were warm, not hot - about the same on each side in back.
So how do I fix this and get those sliders all the way in?
