Can a man love a machine ?
If so, then I certainly do love my Aero, and loved all the 9Ks before it too.
(Better still - I could list ALL the ways that this machine brings me enjoyment every time I look at it or drive it - but why do that HERE ?)
And that's why I enjoy this place on the internet, because others who share similar fondness 'meet' here and help one another.
I salute all those who persist in their devotion with a car the likes of which this world did not see before and likely will not see again.
If you come here for help - most likely you will have good folks trying to help you; and if you are one of those great folks who pitches in and helps others here then you are what this place is all about.
Now I shall say something I have held off saying for some time, but which cannot be contained any longer:
Any person who comes here to flame, bash or 'take down' our favorite cars is NOT held in high regard by me; in fact, such a person is disdained, scorned and rejected by me, quite seriously.
If you came here to try and lower my appreciation for my Saab, you are wasting your time as well as space on this board.
If instead you have come here to say that you enjoy your Saab, and also have some other car you enjoy, and why - welcome and lively discussion will prevail, most likely.
Coming here to tell me that my car is no good, or too dramatic, or in any way unworthy will simply have me itching to reach for my mouse to click the button summoning higher authority to visit your posting.
Yes, I do that. Sometimes.
When the message is just TOO negative to ignore any longer.
I urge other members to do the same.
(And YES - I believe SO strongly in Saabs that I happily pay to be a member here year after year, and highly recommend doing so.)
Help and support is why we come here - NOT their opposites.
Best Wishes,
mark
