My car doesn't like sitting this year, or maybe he's getting jealous of my 9-3 convertible.
I parked my '95 9k for about 3 weeks and took it out for a drive Saturday morning. Everything was great until a few hours later when I went to move the car again. Turned the key and there was no cranking...only a loud-ish buzz/whine that was definitely coming from under the dash - sounded like the relay/fuse panel area. All the lights/gauges worked OK and the voltmeter showed about 10 volts (has a good, 3 year old Optima battery). Did this a few times in a row until I gave up. When I tried again a few hours later, it was fine.
What could be buzzing from the relay panel? I thought the starter relay was under the hood.
Thanks for any thoughts!
