Certainly feasible. You say this is a 900? The NG900s are fairly compact in the engine bay, and if it's a turbo, that'll get in the way and cause headaches.
Sockets:
7mm for stock hose clamps (8mm otherwise), 10, 12, and 13mm for nearly everything else. Bring other wrenches and spanners as well. Make sure they're metric.
For the head bolts (10 of them):
-You'll need an E16 Torx socket, which you can get from the site sponsors or at Sears/Craftsman
-A breaker bar (either 3/8" or 1/2" with a 1/2-to-3/8 reducer)
-Preferably a cordless drill, as the bolts have fine threads and are rather long
Exhaust and intake manifolds:
-An array of sockets, but mostly 12 and 13mm. If coolant hasn't been drained, it'll spew from the intake manifold and head gasket area. Just be prepared.
-WD-40. Essential for stubborn exhaust bolts. you may even consider an angle grinder.
-Unbolt everything from both manifolds, then remove the manifolds as well. This will make pulling the head much easier.
Make sure you move the cams so all the valves are as closed as possible, and try to set the head in a way that nothing will come into contact with valve area. Keep the valve cover, too - those can crack and leak oil like crazy.
If you haven't pulled a head before, and you don't really know your way around the engine bay, expect this to take between 1.5 and 3 hours. If you're experienced, and the bolts aren't too rusty, it can take 45 minutes.
