Hi Everyone,

I started a new thread as I have narrowed things down from all the help on the previous thread.

The car is a 1994 with the 3 piece Clarion stereo with amp under the seat for the rear speakers, which are new Infinity components. The main problem that I am having is that the rears are quickly distorting when the volume is turned up much. I even noticed this before I replaced the old ones, but assumed that the cracks in the speakers were the problem.

I have the polarity correct, and have even reversed it to check. Is my amp going bad, or maybe the head unit?

I am a pretty handy person, but can certainly screw something up!
