So I took my second 9000 in for the provincial safety inspection (Ontario), and it won't pass. The reason it won't pass is because the headlight wipers are non-functioning. Even though most cars don't even have this feature, because it's an installed feature on the car, it must work. This makes absolutely no sense, and has nothing to do with safety, so I guess it makes perfect sense to government policy makers. So infuriating.
In addition, I need to replace the rear license plate lighting assembly. I don't suppose anyone has one of those lying around? This is the type of thing I can imagine an autowrecker would hang up the phone on me if I tried to explain it to them, and the new part was quoted to me at over $600.
