Okay, I have researched old posts and replaced the white plastic gear in the tranny to no avail: My speedo, odometer, etc. wont work, been like this for months and affects computer, car shuts off sometimes, etc...unless it's below 60 degrees out. Yup, in the morning, when it's cold enough, speedo and everything related come back to life for a few minutes until whatever works because it's cold warms up again and then the speedo jumps around, the check engine light comes on and the speedo eventually fails completely. I have checked wires/connectors up to the false bulkhead and will pull the dash next to check connections back there but find the symptoms peculiar but specific and perhaps diagnostically intriguing to fellow enthusiasts.
I would chalk it up to chance or correlation (two things can co-occur but that don't man one caused the other) but it happens every time it gets cold and never happens when it's over 60.
Will let you know what happens
