My last Saabs always blew up at the wrong locations, like far far away from anything close to a real Saab shop, and with the price of towing, it was always a deal breaker.

I'm wanting a 9000 5spd, but I'd also like for my buddy with pickup to just hook up and tow it home or to the shop if needed.

Anything WRONG with this idea?

Fact is lots of things seem to happen to these cars that can't be predicted that can leave them stranded, and that comes from both owners and mechanics I've known, so just saying "do maintenance" might not work.

I also believe strongly in Reverse Murphy's Law....if you take precautions against something, it will be a minor waste of time and money, but nothing else.

Plus, if the front tow hitch "shows" everyone will think 'that is his track car'.

Any thoughts?
