Mine was ultimately a connector corrosion problem. Perhaps the pressure switch has similar ? Even a contact cleaner spray effort might cause a palpable difference.. worth the try at least, as you are having to get in there regardless.
Nitrogen sphere is just a diaphragm dividing the volume with pressured Nitrogen on one side and brake fluid on the other... (ever seen a Citroen ds or talked to an owner? These eat their suspension/spring spheres like candy. Citroen Shops have (had?) piles of damaged spheres piled up like cannonballs )
What little I know of them is that the sphere's diaphragm is either intact or torn. Best to buy a fresh one, as the $150 price is better than oem at least.
