I should disclose a certain bias, as I just bought my second 9k Aero.

Best seats in any Saab, ever. Actually, best automotive seats I've ever personally parked my buttocks in.

Usual problem spots in a 9k are no different for an Aero; shift coupler (if 94 and earlier), DI cassette, fuel pump, suspension bushings. Check for rust along the wheel arches, door bottoms, and as mentioned - around the tops of the rear shock towers. Your front under-bumper valance will most likely be cracked and beat up - but never fear, I'm working on taking a mould of mine, and plan to start making small batches of them in the coming months.

As someone else mentioned, be sure to check that the car hasn't been rode hard and put away wet; these cars are often a good bang for the buck proposition, and that attracts a lot of kids who thrash the car for a year before the first expensive thing breaks, which they sometimes pay to fix, and sometimes fix themselves (poorly) and then sell it to the next kid - repeat.

My first Aero came from an area that was several hour's drive from the nearest Saab specialist (dealer or indy), and the car was all kinds of held together with duct tape, bailing wire, and JB Weld, but had a 2.5" stainless exhaust and a K&N filter installed. It took me a couple of years to get it properly sorted out (still need to replace the balance shaft chain/sprockets).
