As you note, it's a good idea to be careful until one understands the nuances of the new suspension. And most changes, both suspension and with engines/drivelines, are usually something of a tradeoff. However...
Flatter cornering is pretty much all upside. Sway bars help manage lateral weight transfer so all four tires work better. The advantage is flatter cornering and better control. My 9K certainly handles far better on a wet skid pad, a dry track or on a snow covered road than it did with the wimpy stock bars. Its response to steering inputs is better because all four tires are working better. While it takes a little adjustment from the driver's seat, it's no different than getting into a car that simply handles better. It *is* possible to have too much roll stiffness in a vehicle, but that is not the case with 25mm SAS bars.
On the other hand, stiffer springs and shocks that remove a lot of compliance and travel in vertical movement, can present problems on uneven road surfaces as they can limit the ability of a tire to stay in contact with the road surface.
And anyway, Paul H is in the SoCal where the roads don't have the same issues you do in Canada or that I do in NH.
